| Yes, it is true I used to beat up appliances for the thrill of it. Yes, it is true I used to host some videos about it on this very website. And yes, it is true I have beaten up and subsequently thrown away questionable materials. Dammit if ignorance wasn't blissful! Now
that I know many computer monitors and televisions contain mercury
and that older televisions and monitors may contain gasses and other
unfriendly components not only to ones health (which
has not been a concern to me since I beat up an insecticide can on
a warm summer day with a golf club and found I could see my breath
afterwards for about ten minutes) but to the environment
as well. I like living on earth, i enjoy blue skies and fresh air!
I do not wish to pollute it all with whatever it is that has been
spilling out of those appliances i continually smashed into pieces.
ELECTRONICS RECYCLING! Television's,
Monitors & CPU's are FREE TO RECYCLE! WA, OR & AK RESIDENTS: VISIT TOTAL RECLAIM! Electronics recycling is something new to me, but the guilt of just throwing these things away into dumps where they are not going to biodegrade (at least for hundreds of thousands of years) and will definitely pollute the earth with chemicals, inks, dyes and god knows what else was just too much to take! I may not want to ever have children, but i do not want to make my friends and loved ones children suffer a worsening planet than we already have too. Perhaps you do not care, if that is the case, you probably are not actually reading this so Screw You Jerk! The rest of you however are decent, awesome people who need to know about this: Recycling Electronics is Awesome! I
once recycled two televisions, three computer monitors, two computer
cpu's, a printer, copy/fax machine and some assorted wires and cartridges
and crap. More recently i recycled another monitor and some assorted
electronics, which this time they just took without even charging
me! I got to throw the computers, televisions and monitors into large
cardboard boxes with other computers, monitors and televisions in
them. There is nothing more satisfying than taking something which
can cause so much frustration and chucking it into a big box carelessly
and listening to it smash! |
