One of our favorite children's books when we were little (and to this day) has to be Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. (or should that read "...Martin Jr.."?). We especially loved the artwork in that book! It had a unique style and bright colorful way about it that just stood out and screamed beautiful. It is unfortunate that Mr. Artist's protective copyrighting clan even requires permission to link to their site, or we would do that for you.

Bill Martin Jr. wrote the book but did not illustrate it.

We could ask for permission to link to Mr. Artist Person's website but by requiring permission to be had to even do that they have taken our desire to do so away completely. If you are at all smart enough you could figure it out on your own anyway, so that they even require you to ask them permission to link to their site is honestly preposterous and that they blatantly state they reserve the right to have you remove their link from your site at their discretion has to be the dumbest and most idiotic thing we have ever seen. It screams "Hey, we want to be so annoying that we really do not want you to advertise this artist, or his site, or his works, because we are totally over protective and would rather have no press than any publicity at all". We suppose if we were saying all of this and linking to their site they would not want us to do that, but we would not be saying all of this if we were allowed to just link to their damn site!

Mr. Artist's crazy copyrighting clan, we read your site details so do not yell at us for this. We are not mentioning their name, we are not displaying or using their artwork for anything, we do not make any money from it (or this site in general for that matter) and we are not promoting you by linking to your site (which we really wanted to do but then you got all crazy about it and scared us). We just wanted to know if you would let us share pictures non-profitably with internet fans of Mr. Artist's work. That you do not want people to do that is fair game, we can understand that, large available images of his work could lead to a misuse of it but beyond that, we feel you took this all way too far.

We realize if we asked permission to link to your site we might get it and could probably at least get permission to utter their name on our site here. But that you insist on it so strongly that you require permission to do those simple little things makes us not want to ask permission. Instead we are just not going to use their name or link to your site and now this all might make you look sort of bad, but that was not and is not our intent, we just wanted to promote you!

Mr. Artist Person, you are an artist and you do great work. Such great work it really is known by it's own merits and you probably do not even need the additional publicity. But why in hell would you be so difficult about it? We suppose that is your right, but it is our right Mr. Artist Person (whose name we apparently even need permission to use) to say that we feel you (or your copyrighting clan, or both) are taking this a little too far and we feel it is pretty crazy. We wanted to link to your site, give you Props & Kudos, we wanted to praise your name and promote you. But now, because of our inability to do so, we are almost criticizing you. We do not want to do that, we love your work!

Although Mr. Artist seems to have some issues we can still thankfully say "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and tell you that we still love that book, we still love the art in that book and if you have or know children, you should get them this book! There are others out there too we would like to tell you about (but honestly maybe can't, we are not sure so we are not going too) but if you find them, especially one about a worm like creature that counts, you should get that book too. It is an awesome book despite that we are not even sure if we are supposed to be talking about it.
